SYNOPSIS
While the images of mainstream culture flooded the linguistic neighbourhoods, Shantanu Ghosh chose to reside in an era gone by, that of ‘Chitromala’, a recollection of bengalines through songs.
The film traces Shantanu’s step into the world of urban anonymity where the self has to be redrawn in an ever-changing milieu. Shantanu’s movement in Delhi is a move ‘tight-roping’ the secure zones of nostalgia with the metropolitan present where traditional roles and values are urged into re-consideration.
